Mix the Starter in a glass bowl, cover with plastic wrap and set on counter. Do NOT refrigerate and do NOT use metal spoon.
Day 1: do nothing
Day 2: stir with a wooden spoon or rubber scraper once a day
Days 3 & 4: Stir as above.
Day 5: add 1 C. flour, 1 C. sugar and 1 C. milk. Stir as above, put in larger glass bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
Days 6, 7, 8, and 9: Stir as above.
Day 10: add 1 C. flour, 1 C. sugar, 1 C. milk. Stir well as above. Pour 1 C. of mixture into 3 small glass containers and give to friends (with recipe!).
Keep one C. for yourself to start again.
To the remaining mixture add everything except the nuts and cinnamon. Pour into a well-greased and sugared loaf pan or bundt pan. Sprinkle with nuts and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
