Cake:
1 C. water
1 C. oatmeal
½ C. butter or margarine
1 C. brown sugar
1 C. white sugar
2 eggs
1-⅓ C. sifted self-rising flour
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. nutmeg
Topping:
½ stick margarine
¼ C. milk
½ C. brown sugar
½ C. pecans
1 C. coconut


Directions:
Directions:
Boil water and oatmeal; remove from heat and let stand 20 minutes. Cream together butter, sugars, and eggs; add oatmeal and other cake ingredients; beat well. Bake in baking dish or pan for 30-35 minutes.

Mix topping ingredients well and spread on top of baked cake while warm. Leave in baking dish or pan; return to oven and broil until brown.
