3 T unsalted butter 1/2 t. ground cloves
3/4 c. packed bn. sugar 1 t. baking soda
3/4 c. all-purpose flour 1 T. molasses
1 c. whole wheat flour 2 t. cinnamon
1/3 c. raisens 1 t. gr ginger
2/3 c. peeled shredded carrots

Directions:
blend butter + sugar.combine all dry ingredients & add to butter mixture. blend. combine molasses with 1/4 c warm water and add to dough. stir in carrots & raisens. chill dough in plastic wrap 20 min. Roll dough on floured surface 1/4 inch thick and cut cookies. Bake 10 minutes @ 350*.
