5 cups apples
3/4 cups sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. margarine, softened

Topping:
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. margarine
1 egg, slightly beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first set of ingredients and gently spoon into greased baking pan. Dot with butter. Set aside.

Combine remaining ingredients. Mix well and spoon into 9 portions over apples. Bake at 375 F. 35-40 min.
