4 eggs, beaten
c. melted butter
1 c. sugar
2 T. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
2 c. applesauce
4 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
c. nuts.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix egg, applesauce, and butter. Sift and measure flour. Add other dry ingredients to last cup of flour and sift together. Add dry ingredients to egg mixture and stir until flour disappears. Add nuts, if desired. Pour into 2 well-greased loaf pans. Bake at 375 degrees for about 50 minutes or until pick comes out dry. Cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan. Cool completely before wrapping.
