3 eggs 1 c. Karo dark corn syrup 1 c. sugar 2 T. margarine, melted 1 tsp. vanilla 1/8 tsp. salt 1 c. pecan halves 1 unbaked 9 in. pastry shell
In medium bowl, beat eggs slightly. Beat in next 5 ingredients. Stir in pecans. Pour into pastry shell. Bake in 350 degree oven for 55 min. or until knife inserted half way between center and edge comes out clean. Cool. FUDGE PIE: Melt 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate with margarine; omit 1 egg. Yield: 8 servings
