3 to 6 apples depending on size. [Enough to fill the pie shell, slightly rounded]
1 t to 1 1/2 cup white sugar, depending on the tartness of the apples
1 t cinnamon
3-5 T flour rounded & depending on the juiciness of the apples

Mix sugar, cinnamon and flour well. Put half of mixture in the bottom of a pie crust. Add apples, Add rest of sugar mixture. Dot with butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes then 375 until done

Grandpa Gribbell used to do "pro-bono" work for the Deshler Lutheran Church. So every fall the pastor's wife would make our family an apple pie. The pie became legend in our family. It's a lot of "feel" type recipe
