1 C. shortening
1 C. brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1/4 C. milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2-1/2 C. flour
1 C. raisins
1 C. rolled oats

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together first 4 ingredients.
Sift together the 4 dry ingredients and stir into creamed mixture until thoroughly blended.
Stir in raisins and oats.
Drop by spoonsful on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned, about 10 minutes.

We always called these Alta's Rocks after my sister, Alta Percy. They are NOT hard, but she made them into small drop cookies that looked to my kids like rocks.
