3 (12 oz.) large cans tomato paste
3 (15 oz.) large cans tomato sauce
1 (28 oz.) large can tomatoes diced
1 lb. hot Italian sausage (ground or links)
1 lb. hamburger
1 large onion
2 teaspoon basil
2 teaspoon oregano
2 bay leaves
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 tablespoon garlic salt
6 cloves of garlic - chopped

Brown sausage, onion and hamburger together in a large pan. Drain. Add meat and remaining ingredients to a lined crock pot. Cook for 8 - 10 hours on low. Serve over pasta

Variations

• If you want to use a pot on stove you still need to simmer it for 8 hours, but you will need to stir often so it won’t burn on bottom.

• This recipe freezes well. Just put remaining sauce in a freezer zip lock bag and lay flat in freezer.

• To make Lasagna - in an oblong dish, layer sauce, lasagna noodles, parmesan cheese, ricotta cheese (or cottage), mozzarella cheese to top of dish. Bake for one hour at 350 degrees.
