4 sticks butter (unsalted), softened
2 3/4 c. flour
1 Classic White Duncan Hines cake mix

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375ºF.

In microwave safe bowl melt 2 sticks butter.

Stir 2 softened sticks butter into melted butter until all butter is melted (it will be a milky yellow color).

In separate bowl mix flour and cake mix together.

Mix dry ingredients into butter.

Dough will be stiff. Use a small scoop to place cookies on pan and bake for 8-10 minutes.
Cookies are done when edges just start to turn golden brown. These can burn quickly

Optional - Mix in anything small: 1 bag mini chips, 12 oz. nuts, mini M&Ms

Best to use Duncan-Hines cake mixes

Variations:
Lemon: Use lemon cake mix & add 2 tsp. lemon extract and 1 T. lemon peel
Orange: Use orange cake mix, 2 tsp. orange extract and 1 T. orange peel
Chocolate: Use a Devil's Food cake mix, 1 T. chocolate liqueur
Peanut Butter: Yellow Cake Mix, 1 c. creamy peanut butter (combine with softened butter before adding melted butter)
