2 cups sugar
1 cup crisco
5 eggs
1 teaspoon coconut extract
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 can angel flake coconut (save a little for garnish)

Glaze:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon coconut extract
little coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar & crisco; add eggs beat 2 minutes. Add coconut extract, buttermilk, flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well; stir in coconut.

Bake 1 hour in 350 degree oven in tube pan. Cool cake, punch holes in top and pour over hot glaze. (Boil the sugar, water and coconut extract for 1 minute.) Sprinkle with coconut.
