2 cups plums, cooked
2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon soda dissolved in 1 cup hot water

1 egg 1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups cream (seet or sour)
1 1/2 cups flour
5 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix plums, sugar and soda water in shallow pan and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Set aside.

Beat eggs, sugar, cream and dry ingredients together.

Pour plums in bottom of 9 x 13 glass dish. Pour batter over top, covering plums. Bake in moderate oven for 25 minutes.

Serve hot or cold with or without cream.

Mom used to can her own plums. This is a great dessert but may be difficult to find the canned plums now.
