1 cup butter
2 1/2 cups brown sugar (firmly packed)
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups sifted flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon soda
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs & vanilla. Sift flour, soda & salt. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture; fold in nuts.

Drop by teaspoon on greased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in 325 degree oven.

Mrs. Gleason was the mother of my best friend, Linda. Linda & I always had 2 desserts for lunch while in high school -- one from her mother and one from mine.
