! medium head of Bibb or Boston lettuce, torn ( do not cut).
1 (11 oz) can mandarin oranges, chilled and drained
1 ripe avocado, peeled and sliced thinly (optional)
1/2 cup pecan halves toasted or walnuts
2 green onions, sliced thin.
1/2 cup white raisins (optional)
Pepper to taste
1/3 cup commercial Poppy seed dressing

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first seven ingredients in a large salad bowl. Add your Poppy seed dressing just before serving and toss gently.

You may remember this from my first Thanksgiving dinner that we had at the Pink Plantation house in
Alabama. This would also be great with Connies Homemade Poppy seed dressing.
