Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup Hershey's cocoa
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

BROWNIE FROSTING
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
3 tablespoons Hershey's cocoa
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups powdered sugar
1 to 2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon light corn syrup, optional (I use it, because of the shine that it puts on the icing)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the oven to 325 degrees. Grease the bottom of a 13-by-9-inch pan. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.

In a separate bowl, stir flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to the first mixture and blend well. Stir in nuts. Spread evenly in the pan.
Bake 35-40 minutes or just until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan. Cool completely. Frost with Brownie Frosting.

BROWNIE FROSTING

Beat the butter and cocoa in a small mixing bowl. Add vanilla and powdered sugar. Blend in milk and corn syrup, if desired. Beat to spreading consistency (if it seems to be to thin use a little more sugar or less of the milk). Also, it will harden in the refrigerator, because of the butter. Makes about 1 cup frosting (I usually keep refrigerated until about 1/2 to 1 hour before serving).
