1 c. boiling water
3 c. 100% All Bran cereal
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Raisins (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over 1 c. bran. Let cool. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, buttermilk, and soaked bran. Add remaining bran, flour, baking soda, and salt. Fold until moistened. Add raisins (optional). Bake at 400 for 15 minutes. Makes 30 muffins.
