1/2 C creamy peanut butter
1/2 C butter soft
1/2 C sugar - plus extra for rolling
1/2 C brown sugar packed
1 lg egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 9 oz pkg chocolate kisses

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º Cream peanut butter butter and sugars, Sift dry ingredients together and add to sugar mixture. Shape into 1 1/2" place on ungreased cookie sheet 2" apart. Bake for 8 minutes remove from oven and press a chocolate kiss in the center of each cookie. Return to oven and bake 3 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Makes 40-50 cookies.

My Great Grandma used to make these with chocolate stars every time we visited.My mom said she (her Grandma) used to make them for her when she was a kid and they came to make hay at her house. She said Grandma Pearl also had bottles of pop for them :)
