1 MED. POTATO, DICED
4 C. HAM OR CHICKEN STOCK
1 BAY LEAF
1/3 C. DICED ONION
1/3 C. CELERY
1/3 C. CARROTS
1 C. DICED COOKED HAM

COMBINE ALL INGRED. IN LGE .POT. BRING TO A BOIL. REDUCE HEAT TO LOW, COVER AND SIMMER, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY, UNTIL VEGETABLES ARE TENDER AND SOUP HAS THICKENED, ABOUT 45-60 MINUTES. ADD SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE BUT ONLY AFTER COOKING TIME.
