"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
1/2 c. wesson oil 1/2 c. red wine vinegar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 1 c. sugar 1 c. chopped green pepper 1 can shoe peg corn 1 c. diced celery 1 can LaSeur peas 1 can french green beans 1 c. chopped onion 1 sm jar pimento chopped
Mix first 5 ingredients in sauce pan and let come to a boil. Boil for a few minutes then remove from heat and cool. Mix together all veggies and pour the cooked mixture over them. Let marinate in an air tight container at least 24 hours.
This makes a good sommer dish and feeds a good sized crowd.
