1 pie crust dough
6 apples, cored, and sliced 1/8 in thick
1/4 c sugar with cinnamon
2 oz (1/2 stick) cold butter, sliced thin
1/2 c apricot jam, heated and strained

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375
Roll out pie crust into 13 in round and fit into 10 in tart tin with removable fluted rim, trimming excess. Arrange apples decoratively on pastry shell, overlapping them. Sprinkle sugar on top of apples, top with butter slices and bake in middle of oven for 45 minutes or until crust is cooked through and apples are golden.
Brush with heated jam while tart is still hot. Serve with scoop of vanilla ice cream.
