1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup softened butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups regular rolled oats

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together first 5 ingredients. Beat together butter, egg, and vanilla. Add sifted ingredients and beat for 2 minutes. Blend in rolled oats. The dough will be stiff.

Shape into small balls and place on greased baking sheets. Flatten the balls with the bottom of a glass covered with wax paper. Bake at 350º for 12 - 15 minutes until light golden. Cool on rack.
