1 1/2 Cups of Shortening
2 Cups White Sugar
1/2 Cup Molasses
2 Eggs
4 Cups Flour
2 Teaspoons Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Ginger
1 Teaspoon Cloves
1 Teaspoon Nutmeg
Teaspoons of Cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
1- Preheat the oven to 350º
2- In a bowl cream shortening and sugar together until well mixed.
3- Add eggs and beat well
4- Beat in Molasses
5- Stir flour, baking soda salt, and spices together.
6- Add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and mix well.
( you may have to continue mixing by hand to avoid burning your beater out)
7- Roll the dough into balls (or use a scoop made for doing meatballs.)
8- Dip the top of the balls into sugar
9- Place balls onto greased or parchament lined cookie sheets or if you have a silpat use that.
10- Bake for 10-12 minutes
