1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. lemon extract
2 eggs beaten
11/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. grated lemon peal
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/4 c. lemon juice
1/2 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, sugar, lemon extract and eggs in large bowl. Mix dry ingredients in separate bowl. Mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients alternating with the milk. Stir just until blended. Fold in lemon peel and pecans. Bake 350 for 1 hour. Mix lemon juice and sugar. Poke holes in warm bread and pour in juice mixture. Let cool. Remove from pan, wrap in foil and store for a day.
