3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp allspice
3/4 cup raisins
3/4 cup currants

1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 beaten egg with 1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup grated carrot
3/4 cup grated potato
3/4 cup soft bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Blend first 5 ingredients. Add fruit and combine well to coat.
Cream together butter and sugar. Gradually add egg soda mix. Stir in carrot, potato and bread crumbs. Add fruit and flour mix. Turn into well greased 1quart mould. Cover with tin foil and tie in place. Steam for 2.5 hrs. Uncover and bake in 350 oven for 10 minutes

Serve with warm Carmel sauce
