1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon, optional
Strawberry preserves*

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350-degrees. Mix sugar, butter, peanut butter, egg and vanilla until fluffy. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, cream of tartar and cinnamon. Shape dough by teaspoons into 1-inch balls. Place about 1-1/2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet; press thumb firmly in center of each ball. Fill the hole with strawberry preserves. Bake about 12 to15 minutes.
