2 lbs. cherries or 2 cans
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. red food coloring
2 tsp. lemon flavoring
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
6 tbsp. butter
1 3/4 c. boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cherries, sugar, red food coloring and lemon flavoring all together. Add in the next 5 ingredients and mix well. In a 9x13 pan pour melted butter. Pour the cake batter in next. Drop cherries by spoonfuls on to the cake batter. Pour the boiling water over all of it. Bake at 350 º for 30 minutes.
