4 c peeled and sliced peaches
2/3 c sugar
3/4 c flour
pinch of salt
2 t baking powder
1 c sugar
1 c milk
1 stick margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle a little lemon juice over the peaches. Mix peaches with 2/3 c sugar. Let stand for 2 hours. Preheat oven 350 degrees.
Mix flour, salt, baking powder and 1 c sugar in mixing bowl. Stir in milk. Melt margarine in deep baking dish and pour batter over it. DO NOT STIR!
Pour peaches over batter. DO NOT STIR. Bake 50-55 minutes in 350 degree oven.
If using a glass baking dish, lower the heat to 325 degrees.
