1 pkg yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 cup lukewarm cottage cheese
2 Tblsp. sugar,
1 Tblsp. minced onion
1 Tblsp. butter
3 tsp. dill seed
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 unbeaten eggs
3 cups flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine in large bowl, cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill seed, salt , baking soda,eggs and yeast mixture. Mix well and add 2 1/2 to 3 cups flour. A cup at a time beating in between. Add enough to make stiff dough. Knead 3 minutes, cover and let rise 1-1/2 hours. Punch down and put in loaf pan(2 small or 1 large) Let rise til light and double. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes. Brown very well.
