4 egg whites
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Filling:
Fruit
Whipped cream

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Add sugar gradually and beat until it makes peaks. Add vanilla.

Use a teflon cookie sheet, or line a cookie sheet with brown baking paper, and spoon the mixture onto the paper; shape the batter into shells. Bake at 275 F. about 50 minutes.

Marge Heidler lived on a beautiful farm on Hobson Road and was known for her meringue shells. The kids would love it when I filled them with fruit and whipped cream.
