6 c. chopped, peeled tart apples (6 medium)
2 tbsp. butter, melted
2 tbsp. sour cream
4 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
pie shell

topping:
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cold butter

Directions:

filling:
in a bowl, combine apples, butter, sour cream, lemon juice, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. spoon into pie shell.

topping:
combine flour and sugar in a bowl; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. sprinkle over filling. cover pie loosely with foil. bake at 425 F for 20 minutes, then reduce heat to 375 F and continue baking for and additional 35 minutes. cool and enjoy.
