1 T cornstarch
6 T granulated sugar
1/2 c. water
pinch of salt
3 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cornstarch, sugar, water, and salt, Cook to thick and clear. Cool slightly. Beat egg whites until frothy. Continue beating while slowly pouring in cooked mixture. Cover cooled pie filling with the meringue (be sure to bring the meringue clear to the crust). Bake at 425 degrees for 5 - 7 minutes or until golden brown.
