6oz. - Butter
3oz. - Sugar
1.5oz - Confectioners Sugar (Powdered Sugar)
2 3/4oz. - Whole Eggs
.5tsp - Vanilla
9oz. - All Purpose Flour

*Amount of Bakers Jam or Ganache used at your own discretion*

Ganache Ingredients
1c Heavy Whipping Cream
1bag Melting Chocolate

Preheat Oven: 375 º

Creaming Method; butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs

Sifting all Dry Ingredients (Flour and Confectioners Sugar) in a separate bowl. After both ingredients have been sifted begin to combine the sifted dry ingredients into the creamed butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs.

Cookie Dough will be in soft dough form allowing to be put into a piping bag with 'Closed Star Tip' #35 or #133.

After cookies have been piped into a Bicycle (Figure 8) or dropped Star shape take your index finger and make a small indent in the center of each cookie. then apply a small amount of bakers jam in the indention.

Strassburger Cookies are classified as Holiday Cookies (Christmas). These cookies when baked will not turn golden brown like Chocolate Chips or Sugar cookies but will be crisp and light with a slightly browned edge showing they are throughly baked. If you do not like the jam you may melt chocolate and dip the pre baked cookies into the Ganache (Melted Chocolate).
