1 C butter, softened
1 C powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c flour
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix together butter, powdered sugar, almond extract, egg, and vanilla. Gradually add flour and salt. Divide dough into 2 equal parts. Add food coloring to one half (either red or green). Roll each color into strips about 4 inches long. Twist together like a rope; shape the top into candy cane...Place on cookie sheet and bake for 15 min.
