1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup peanut butter
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup rolled oats

1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the shortening and the sugars. Add egg, peanut butter, flour, soda, salt and rolled oats. Spread in greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350o for 20 - 25 min. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let stand 5 min.

Mix together 1/2 cup confectioners sugar, 1/4 cup peanut butter, 2 to 4 tbl. cream. Drizzle over chocolate. Cut into bars
