1 1/2 C. flour
1/2 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt
1/2 C. butter
2/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 C. maraschino cherry juice
1/4 C. chopped maraschino cherries
2 T. milk
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 C. chopped nuts
large marshmallows
chocolate frosting

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º-375º. Sift flour, soda, and salt. Set aside. Cream butter and brown sugar well. Beat in egg. Add half of the dry ingredients and blend. Mix in cherry juice and milk. Add remaining dry ingredients and mix. Add melted chocolate squares. Mix. Fold in cherries and nuts. Cut marshmallows in half. Bake cookies 10-12 minutes. Top with 1/2 a marshmallow, bake 1 minute more. Frost cookies with chocolate frosting when cool.
