1 lb. fettuccine
6 tblsp. unsalted butter
2/3 c. whipping cream
1/2 tsp. salt
Large pinch of ground white pepper
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Cook fettuccine in salted boiling water until done.While pasta is cooking, place butter and cream in a 10 in heavy skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture bubbles for 2 min. Stir in salt, pepper and nutmeg. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in cheese until thoroughly blended.Might need to put back on heat if necessary to blend cheese but do not let sauce bubble. Pour sauce over pasta; toss with 2 forks until sauce is slightly thick and pasta is coated evenly.Top with extra grated cheese.Serve immediately.
Optional: add crumbled bacon.
