5-8 lb. beef brisket trimmed of fat
24 ounce bottle ketchup
package of dry onion soup mix

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 275 degrees
2. Place brisket in oven safe pan
3. Combine ketchup and soup mix
4. Stir it around to mix
5. Pour in 1 cup water and stir to combine.
6. Pour the sauce over brisket, flip to coat other side. Cover pan with foil and roast in the oven for 6-7 hours.
7. Remove the pan from the oven and test the brisket to make sure it 's fork-tender.
8. Slice into thin strips
