Sweet Lassi:
2 cups yogurt
1-1/2 cups Alphonse mango pulp
4 tbsp sugar
3 oz fresh pineapple (optional)
2 cups water
5-6 ice cubes

Salty Lassi:
2 cups yogurt
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
2 cups water
7-8 ice cubes

Sweet Lassi:
Combine yogurt, mango pulp, sugar, pineapple (if desired), water and ice cubes in a blender. Cover and mix (or crush) for about 45 seconds, or until you no longer hear the ice cubes crushing. Pour immediately into glasses and serve.

Salty Lassi:
Combine yogurt, salt, black pepper, water and ice cubes in a blender. Cover and mix (or crush) for about 1 minute, or until you no longer hear the ice cubes crushing. Pour immediately into glasses and serve.

Can substitute yogurt with buttermilk, though it is more of an acquired taste.
Taste and consistency of a lassi is a personal preference and you can decide how to modify the amounts of the ingredients.
Don't mix the lassi in the blender for more than 2 minutes - even if your blender is not able to chop the ice finely, as it can turn the lassi too frothy.
Fresh cut pineapple, if you decide to add, is less sweet than the canned variety.
