Ingredients:
Ingredients:
White Rice
Marinated Meat
Egg
Romaine Lettuce
Ingredients for sauce:
1 ½ cup soy sauce
¾ cup white sugar
¼ cup sesame oil
5 cloves of garlic minced
½ medium onion chopped
3 large scallions (green onions)
*optional ½ tsp. red pepper flakes
2 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds

Directions:
Directions:
Marinate meat 24 hours ahead of preparation of meal.
Using about 4-6 pounds of flanken, short ribs, stew meat (tenderize by beating), or stir fry strips Put all meat in 1-2 large gallon storage or freezer bag and pour ingredients into the bag with the meat. You can mix it all in a bowl then pour over meat into the bags. Let the meat sit in the mixture for 24 hours—turning the bag over and over when you go to the fridge or before you go to bed the night before.
You can leave out onion and garlic and us the powder form if you wish. For other sweeteners, you can use brown sugar if you need to…. Stay away from honey though as it will congeal when marinating in the fridge

Night of preparation order of duties:
1. Make white rice – enough for your family – usually it is 1 cup of rice to 2 cups of water, boil water add rice, simmer for 20 minutes tightly covered then fluff and eat. --- you can sub in brown rice if you wish-cook according to box directions
2. Cut ends of Romaine Lettuce to use as your “wraps” or “boats” WASH WELL AND DRY and put in fridge to keep cold
3. Grill or broil meat- still a tiny bit of red left (medium rare as it will continue cooking after heating and it will be easier to cut into bite size pieces)
4. Mix eggs with 1 tbsp soy sauce then fry in a pan that has been heated with 2 tbsp oil (I use Coconut oil, gives an awesome flavor and is great for high heat)

Eating: Take your lettuce wraps, add rice, then meat with some onion if you prefer, and top with egg. Eat. Savor the flavors. Enjoy!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Sesame Oil is cheapest purchased at an Asian market as long as it is PURE sesame oil you can always use more of this up to ½ cup it gives the meat a nice smoky flavor. This is a long recipe and a bit time consuming but OH SO GOOD for a special occasion!!!!! No failing on this one... it comes out perfect every time!
