2 1/2 c unsifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 c butter softened
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 12oz package Nestle Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 c chopped nuts

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375º
In a small bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt set aside.

In a large bowl combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract, beat until creamy.

Beat in eggs.

Gradually add flour mixture mix well.

Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes.

To keep the cookies soft, Grandma would move the cookies to newspaper to cool. (Don't know why, but newspaper works. Store in air tight container.
