3 sticks butter, softened
3 c. sugar
5 extra large eggs
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 T. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar well. Add eggs and mix well. Add alternately, flour mixed with baking powder and milk mixed with vanilla.
Put into a greased and floured tube pan.
Put into a cold oven. Turn on the oven to 325F. Bake 1 hour and check for doneness. May take 1 hour 20 minutes.
