1 corned beef brisket, about 5 lbs, rinsed.
1 head green cabbage, quartered
6 carrots, peeled and cut into 1" pieces
6-8 small red potatoes
1 1/2 C. lager beer

Directions:
Directions:
Put the brisket, cabbage, carrots and beer in the crockpot. Add enough water to cover the brisket by 1". Cover the pot and cook for 10 hours on LOW. Add potatoes for 1 hour at the 9th hour. Transfer the brisket to a cutting board and carve into 1/4" slices. Arrange on a platter and serve with the cabbage and vegetables alongside.

On St, Patrick's Day we always had corned beef and cabbage. It was from my Mom's Irish background.
