1/2 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. pineapple juice
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 pkg. acini de pepe or orzo pasta (cooked, drained, rinse with cold water and drain again)
2 11 oz. cans Mandarin oranges (drained)
1 8 oz. container of cool whip
2 -2 oz. cans pineapple tidbits (drained)
2 c. miniature marshmallows
1- 2 oz. can crushed pineapple (drained)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 4 ingredients in pan and cook over moderate heat, stirring until thickened. Then add:
1 tbsp. lemom juice and cool mixture to room temperature. Combine egg mixture and pasta in large airtight container, mix thoroughly and refrigerate overnight. (I use the giant size Tupperware container with air tight lid). The next day: Fold in the rest of the ingredients and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
