6 cups sugar
2 cups light Karo syrup
1 cup butter
1-15oz can evaporated milk
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 cups walnuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Stir sugar, Karo syrup, butter, milk and salt together in a saucepan, bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, and add nuts. Continue cooking and stirring until mixture forms a ball when dropped into a glass of cold water (240 degrees).

Let mixture cool ½ hour to 45 minutes. Beat with a mixer for 5-10 minutes.

Pour mixture into a buttered 15x12x1 pan and let set at room temperature.

This candy should be made 2-3 days before serving. After mixture sets for 1-1 ½ days cut into 1” pieces and let set for another 1-1 ½ days.
