1 lb. Italian sausage.
4 tbsp. olive oil
2 small cans tomato paste
1 qt. whole tomatoes
1 tbsp. sugar
1 cup dry red wine
7-8 cloves of garlic (minced)
1 lb. spaghetti noodles

Directions:
Directions:
Add olive oil to a 4-5 qt. pot. Add the olive oil and heat over medium flame.
Add Italian sausage and cook till no longer pink.
Add garlic and cook for about 20 seconds. Throw in the tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar and wine.
Break up the tomatoes in pot and let simmer for 1 hour or more. Stir from time to time to make sure the tomatoes break up and the sauce does not stick.
Once the sauce is thickened to your liking, put the remaining olive oil over hot spaghetti noodles and ladle on the sauce.

I like a lean Italian sausage like Jimmy Dean's. I have also used Jenny O Hot Italian Turkey sausage if you are concerned about fat content.
