5 large potatoes - boiled, skinned & sliced
1/2 cup water
1 cube or 2 tsp bouillon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 chopped onion
1 or 2 tbsp vinegar
1/2 tsp Maggi or soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
bacon bits

Directions:

1. Heat the following to boiling: water, bouillon, salt, pepper, onion, vinegar, Maggi or soy sauce.
2. Stir in vegetable oil and bacon bits.
3. Add potatoes & mix.
4. Serve warm or cold.

This recipe came from the German language teacher at Ansbach Elementary School when Alison's primary school class went potato-picking on the farm. It's the only kind of potato salad you'll find in Bavaria, and it's the best! Usually it's served at room temperature.
