1 qt. strawberries 3 T. cornstarch 1 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. almond extract 1 baked 9" pie shell
Arrange half the berries, uncooked, large end down in precooked shell. Prepare remaining berries with sugar, cornstarch and almond extract, mashing berries to make their own juice. Cook until thick over low heat. Cool. Pour into shell over the whole berries. Serve cold with whipped cream.
