Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 T. paprika
1 t. salt
1 t. garlic powder
1 t. pepper
3/4 t. onion powder
3/4 t. chili powder
1/2 t. cayenne pepper
4 lbs. pork spareribs
1 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
apple juice

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300º. In a small mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, salt, garlic powder, pepper, onion powder, chili powder and cayenne; set aside.
With a sharp knife, remove the thin layer of silver skin from the back of the ribs; trim excess fat, leaving just enough to melt so it moistens meat as it roasts. Rinse ribs; pat dry with paper towels. Place them in a large roasting pan; generously rub seasoning mix into front and back. Cover lightly and let set for 30 minutes. Pour apple juice into pan.
Cover tightly with foil. Bake, without lifting foil, for 2 1/2 hours. Remove foil; drain pan. Increase oven to 375º. Generously coat ribs with your favorite barbecue sauce. Bake, uncovered, an additional 20-30 minutes until sauce thickens.
