2 6 oz. pkg. of chocolate chips
3 tbsp. soft butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg, unbeaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
1 c. coconut

Preheat oven at 350
Melt 6 oz. of chocolate in double boiler.
Stir together butter, sugar, egg and vanilla - then beat until smooth.
Stir in melted chocolate and milk.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt in separate bowl, then gradually add to chocolate mix.
Stir in walnuts, coconut and remaining chocolate.

Drop by 1/2 teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10 min. Cookies will be soft. Cool on rack - cookies will harden as they cool.

Every Christmas as I grew up, Aunt Shirley baked cookies, and I mean, baked cookies! One year she made 90 varieties. I don't plan to ever make THAT many but this one was a favorite of hers.
