3/4 c softened unsalted butter
2/3 c dark brown sugar
2/3 c granulated sugar
2 T light corn syrup
1 T cider vinegar or white vinegar
2 large eggs
1 T vanilla extract
1/2 tsp.salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 1/4 c unbleached all purpose flour
3 c semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375º. Lightly grease cookie sheet or line with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugars, corn syrup, and vinegar. Beat in the eggs. Beat in the vanilla, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Stir in the flour and chocolate chips.
Drop by tablespoonful onto the baking sheet. Bake the cookies for 10 minutes, until they are just set.The centers may look underdone. Remove from cookie sheet and cool on a baking rack.
